The 2009 My Stereo Rocks was also held at Zouk, similar to the 2008 one. The exciting thing about this one is that one of their official partners were RTM and that REVENGE will be performing their last and final set during the event before they go into a rest (well, according to their MySpace, but heck, they will be performing at SEARCH‘s final leg of their tour at Mont Kiara this August 1st).
When we arrived, Nadia’s Picture Show was already performing with the crowd already warmed up and enjoying the tunes. Crowd turnup was really good, with the venue nearly full and with more people trickling in.
As some of you might have already know, They Will Kill Us All recently released their debut album titled, Secret Episodes (well, they were throwing it out and selling it during Rock The World 8).
To celebrate the launch of their album, they will host an album launch party at Zouk KL on the 6th of February 2009. Party starts at 10pm. Twilight Actiongirl will be spinning a DJ set and TWKUA will definitely perform live as well.
You can also purchase their album at the venue. I’m not so sure about the cover charges though.
Check them out at their MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/twkua
This event was held at Zouk. We arrived at 2:45pm but there were still a whole bunch of people waiting outside. As usual, Malaysian standard time was in effect so we waited outside as well.
Be sure to give way to the Perodua Xfresh street surfers if you see them on the road. They are giving great support to our local music scene. As patriotic as you can see they already stick Malaysia flag way before Merdeka day.
Met our friend, Haniff, and he told us that this is the first time their gig got delayed but will be starting soon. There”s some booth selling T-shirt as usual, but this time we also saw some monster-like toys selling booth. Too bad for kenchill as he

Mocca is finally coming to Malaysia!! After hearing them through some downloads a few years ago and on their ‘Colours’ album which I managed to purchase when I was visiting Bali last year, I can finally watch them performing live.
Quote from Inthebox Records website:
Mocca’s dream of going international is now turning reality and fans from Malaysia will have the chance to hear them live in their show this coming August. Mocca Malaysia Live in Malaysia would start from the south as you can catch them on the 12th August, 2008 at Dewan Jubli Intan, JB while fans in the north would be ready for their next stop at Rockworld, Penang on August 14th, 2008. Main event will be held at Zouk Club, KL on the 17th August, 2008.
There will be a couple of bands performing alongside Mocca at every stop of their Malaysian tour, the main event being the one at Zouk, KL. Guest bands for the Zouk venue will be Estrella, Funky Doryz, Apple Juice, The Rahman, The Fridays, Robot Asmara. Decma & The Could Have Been,
That is the title of the next Butterfingers album slated to launch this July (06/07/08). That is quite a while to go. But fret not, they are back in KL and are out to gig in full force! Every weekend of May in fact. Here’s some of the events that they will be playing in KL (and of which I am going to attend as well).
