Ne-Yo performed at the Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach on the 7th of January 2010 as part of his Year Of The Gentleman Tour. The concert was scheduled to start at 8pm but the crowd began to queue up at the Sunway Lagoon entrance by 6pm. The concert was organised by PhuturePhlow and co-sponsored by Celcom X-pax and Sunway Lagoon.
The over excited crowd was tagged with X-pax stickers by the unique rollerblading X-pax promoters.
Disagree Notes: Disagree played just as the rain stopped, allowing me to walk around the stage and snap photos.
Yuna Notes: Yuna is fun and easy to shoot as she doesn’t move around so much. Attention has to be taken so that you capture her while her eyes are open or is looking outward towards the crowd.
Faizal Tahir
Notes: The lighting was interesting when Faizal Tahir was performing.
Estranged
Notes: It started to pour heavier while Estranged was playing, allowing me to only take photos from the right side of the stage. Couldn’t get a close up of Din or walk far enough to zoom over the stage to photograph Azwin.
Joe Flizzow
Bittersweet Notes: Pijie has an interesting t-shirt! Bittersweet is one really interesting band as they rarely move around the stage while performing. Easy to snap, but you won’t get many action or dynamic pictures. Pijie on the other hand, has really interesting poses and facial expressions (which DOES NOT suit the music the band plays at all! Hah!).
Bunkface Notes: The band members move around the stage every now and then allowing more action shots. The bassist tend to get close to the edge of the stage, allowing more wide angle shots. Interesting band to shoot.
I like to get 2 or more band members in one shot while using my 70-200 lens.
This year’s Flyniversary started well early in the evening, at about 4pm with Couple as the opening act. I only managed to get to the venue at about 7.30pm due to the downpour which lasted from 5pm till 8.30pm. Anyways, even with the heavy rain, the crowd were still standing in front of the stage, entertained by performers like Shila (OIAM), James Baum and also One Buck Short.
VIP ticket holders got to have dinner and drinks at the special VIP tent while waiting for the second part of the event to start at 8pm, with Caprice being the first performer on stage. He brought along Annatasha for the first song, Thinking Of You. For more pictures, do check out http://www.lifeinkl.com/2009/11/21/4th-flyniversary-pictures/

Fly FM held their 3rd anniversary birthday bash at Central Park, 1Utama this year. They also held their 2nd anniversary at the same venue last year (of which I attended as well). They were nice enough to provide me with some media passes, allowing me to venture around all areas around the stage and the VIP area as well.
This event is also sponsored by Magnum, and there were those blow up bangers which had Magnum branding on them as well. Security this year was also helped out by
