Bottlesmoker (http://www.facebook.com/bottlesmoker)has just released another album, titled Let’s Die Together In 2012 (B-side Rarities), which consists of songs left out from their previous albums as well as songs that well, which didn’t make the cut and as well as songs that didn’t have the master copies because they were lost.
If you guys don’t already know, Bottlesmoker is a duo from Bandung who plays some very interesting eletronic-pop-8-bit-instrumental music, using some of the most unusual instruments and musical toys around. Check out http://www.lifeinkl.com/2009/08/21/who-is-bottlesmoker/. They had just recently completed their 2011 Asian tour, which took them to places such as the Brunei, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and of course their homeland, Indonesia.
“We play toy instruments and record our music in our bedroom“. Who are they? Well, they are Bandung‘s answer to electropop/eletronic music, a duo which call themselves Bottlesmoker. Bottlesmoker consists of Angkuy and Nobie, both final year journalist students.
They play and tinker with toy instruments such as effects controllers, keyboards and pianicas, opening them up and modifying them before hooking up to their laptops or mixers. They sometimes purchase their toy instruments from second hand shops and sometimes people give them the instruments (and they will fix it). On their laptops, they use Reason 4 for all their arranging, sequencing, composing and recording needs.
Bottlesmoker is a band from Bandung, Indonesia that makes eletronic, ambient, relaxing music from all kinds of electronic instruments. They sound kinda like The Album Leaf in my opinion, so if you like The Album Leaf, by all means, you gotta listen to Bottlesmoker!
