I first discovered Diana Liu when I was photographing Tokyo Blue at No Black Tie on a fine Wednesday night sometime back in August 2010. It was Tokyo Blue’s last performance in Malaysia. Well, sort of a last concert before Hiro and Ywenna moved over to Singapore (and Josh going over to Berklee for a short stint). I am sure they will come back to Malaysia to perform again anyways.

So yes, I saw this young lady fronting the microphone while Tokyo Blue was the backing band, singing some jazz numbers. It did not matter that she sang in Mandarin (of which I do not understand), but it was good enough to prompt me to get my ass to the front of the stage to record her (using my Sony NEX5 of course).

Okay, so after touring all over the world (including Singapore), the G-Shock ‘Shock The World’ Tour finalllllly lands itself in our magnificent Kuala Lumpur! It was held at Zouk on the 23rd of July 2010. Well, to get tickets, you will have to either buy a G-shock and get some passes, or just know some people who were involved in the event.

So, the local designers involved in this event were Stephen Lau and Streething (http://www.streething.com), a local streetwear community. Stephen collaborated on the white DW6900 while Streething did it’s collaboration on a black DW5600. If I’m not mistaken, there were like 20 of each watch given away to friends of the designers (don’t think it was on sale).

The wait is finally over! American Idol extraordinaire, Adam Lambert is all set to rock Malaysia in October! Jointly organized by Marctensia and Sony Music, the Adam Lambert Glam Nation Tour Live in Malaysia 2010 will take Malaysia by storm this October 14, 2010.

The tour was officially announced in late April 2010 via Adam’s website (http://www.adamofficial.com/my/). As this is Adam’s first tour, fans can expect an audio and visual spectacular, both theatrical and atmospheric from the tour. “I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement.” Adam further adds, “I am confident we have put together a show FAR beyond the price of the ticket.
