After her concert at KL Live, Zee Avi had an album signing sessions for the fans at Rock Corner, The Gardens on the 23rd of March 2010. Fans start to gather at about 7pm, and by 8pm, there was already a line stretching from the entrance of the Rock Corner stall all the way to the Sony shop at the corner.

The anxious fans waited patiently, and at 8.30pm, a big-haired Zee Avi made her appearance, coming out from the back of the shop. Fans started to pour in to get their albums signed, but there’s a catch. You could only get your album signed, no photography was allowed (that was allowed in the Meet & Greet Session later).

Bite. Yeah, bite. Bite is Deja Voodoo Spells‘ (DVS) second offering, after their debut album ‘I am what I am‘ 5 years ago. Clearly, everyone knows that DVS’ lead guitarist, Rithan, is one of Malaysia’s top guitarist, who is also sponsored by Ibanez Guitars.

If you have expected to get more of ‘I am what I am‘ in the second album, then sorry to say, but you won’t. It’s more of what St. Anger was to the previous Metallica albums. Well, just sort of, not exactly. So, what has exactly changed in the 5 years between the first album and this one?

The album has already caught the attention of millions, with singles ‘Rock and Roll‘ and ‘Wanting You‘ voted to the number 1 spot on the Malaysian charts, Hitz Fm’s International Top 30 and an Anugerah Industri Music (AIM) nomination for Best Male Vocal. Bite was also nominated for 9 Voize Independent Music Awards, the most nominations for a single artiste, and ended up winning the most awards of the nights as well, including Best Rock Act.

The band have already won more than 10 awards, including Best New Artiste for their debut ‘I am what I am‘ at the 2006 AIMs. They are endorsed by Ibanez Guitars, Tama Drums, Wagen Picks and Ziljian Cymbals.

Super Junior Super Show 2 was held at Stadium Putra on the 20th of March 2010. Even though the concert was slated to start at 8pm, thousands of fans thronged the venue and booked spots at the entrance at as early as 3pm. The hot and sunny day was no deterrent to the hardcore fans, most of them wearing blue t-shirts, as the official color for Super Junior was Pearl Sapphire Blue.

It was not Super Junior’s first visit to Malaysia, though, they have already been here twice previously, one to film a music video, and the second, for the MTV Asia Awards 2008 (at Genting). The concert this time is organized by Redstar Presents and managed now-industry veterans Marctensia (who brought in quite a few big names in the past including Jason Mraz and Akon). Super Junior, of course is under the management of SM Entertainment.
