The first Sony Alpha Pro Shop was launched on the 9th of January 2010. It is in fact, Studio Zaloon (which was already open for business several months ago), operated by Uncle Chin, a name he is more commonly referred to as by the members of the Alphanatics forum.

Studio Zaloon was already popular with users of the Sony Alpha DSLR system, as his shop caters to and stocks loads to A-mount lenses and also Sony Alpha accessories. You can get Tamron and Sigma lenses for the Sony Alpha there, usually ready in stock or by orders (which takes only a few days to get to his shop).

The newly renovated shop interior now showcases the Sony Alpha line of cameras with nice cabinets and LCD displays.

Also, rarely seen in other shops or even the official Sony Style outlets is a display shelve which showcases nearly all, if not all of the Sony Alpha lenses. Over on the right side off the top shelve is the 70-400 and also the 70-200G lens (or the ‘White Shark’). Also displayed with the lenses are the SRP/RRP, which of course you should be able to get a better price if you ask.

A delightful and busy Uncle Chin.

Accessories and Sony Alpha cameras on display.

Studio Zaloon does also sell a huge range of camera bags, tripods, and lighting systems.

It was more than a just an official opening of the store. It was a chance for the Sony guys, Uncle Chin and Sony Alpha users to get together, appreciate the support of each other, and also participate in the lucky draw and photography contest to win more free stuff!

Uncle Chin, happily removing the buntings and officiating the shop.

Lunch was served as well!!!

The dudes from the Central Alpha Legion came in the masses, proudly wearing their shirts.
