SevenCollar T-shirt Album Launch
Posted by kenchill. Categories Event Coverage, Events, Featured, MusicSevenCollar T-shirt launched their latest album at Cloth & Clef on the 11th of November 2009. Hmm, the event only started at 10.40pm despite stating 9pm on the flyers. Bad bad. Forty Winks was the first band to play, but everyone was sitting down, even after being asked to stand up and dance.
Prana, a band which was establish a long time ago made an appearance that night, intact with all the original band members. Their friends and supporters were evident in the crowd. They did play quite a lot of their early material, which included ‘The Bird Song‘, one of my favorites.
The crowd was still sitting around when SevenCollar T-shirt came on stage. This time, they played quite a lot of their new songs from the new album, The Great Battle. I was expecting a 10 – 12 song set, but they only played around 6 songs.
It was only when Pure Vibracion took stage when everyone stood up. Most of the people attended that night were Pure Vibracion fans, along with a couple of dreadlocked guys.
The crowd was skanking and dancing to every song Pure Vibracion played. Heavy dancing indeed.
So, here’s how the album looks like and if you haven’t gotten it yet, you can get it at the nearest Rock Corner. Half the album sounds really good, and the other half, a bit mellow. Do check back for a review soon.
