In case you missed out part 1, it’s here: http://www.lifeinkl.com/2009/05/12/monash-music-fest-part-1/

Ben's Bitches

Ben's Bitches

Ben’s Bitches performed an amazing set which wowed the crowd with songs such as Pensil Besar, Peter the Pirate and also The Cha Cha Ska of Amber Chia. Jin Hackman came up on stage to do a collaboration with them for one song, and for another one song, a female fan was called up on stage to help with the vocals.

Seven

After of which, Seven took stage and threw out their signature jazzy lounge tunes with some rock elements in it. Their album will be sometime soon according to them so watch out for these guys.

An interesting dance performance by Luke Groundwalker (LOL!!!) during the interlude. Very cool introduction where he started out dancing to a ‘music box’ tune and when he whipped on his sunglasses, the pace picked up considerably (moonwalk included).

Freeloaders Inc

And then there was Freeloaders Inc, a Monash University student band.

Diplomats of Drum

Drum and percussion time! Diplomats of Drum took some time to setup their instruments but after a while, they gave up fixing the guitar and decided to proceed on performing without the guitar, leaving the sounds of the guitar to the crowd’s imagination.

Diplomats of Drum

To compensate for the lack of guitars, they planned on going into the crowd area and play their dhols, but due to security and technical reasons, they had to remain on stage, but it was okay, as one of their members taught the crowd how to dance to the bhangra tunes.

SevenCollar T-shirt

So, this is what most people have been staying up late for, SevenCollar T-shirt took the stage first with Duan singing his heart. Oh, their new album is going to be out soon as well!

Syarul - Love Me Butch

Band of the night, Love Me Butch came on stage slightly after 11pm to gave the crowd some last minute rock and moshing before the night ended.

Oh, we would like to congratulate Syahrul and his wife (vocalist of LMB) on their recent marriage. Hope you enjoy your married life and continue rocking!

To sum everything up, everything went as planned and there weren’t any delays in between bands, kudos to the organising team for doing such a good job the first time around!
