KoRn did not dissapoint during Sunburst 2009. They were scheduled to play at midnight, but managed to appear on stage at 11.45pm to hundreds of fans, calling out “We want KoRn, We want Korn”. Jonathan Davis was there, Munky was on the right side of the stage on the guitars, and Fieldy, on the left side with the bass guitar.

We got a ‘How are you guys doing?‘ from Jon Davis, and his response after the crowd cheered was, ‘We didn’t flying 20 motherfucking hours just to hear this‘. Fuck yeah!

I was thinking that they would play some new material, but thankfully, they had a lot of their old school stuff in the setlist. Among the songs that got the crowd excited were Faget, A.D.I.D.A.S, Freak on a Leash and Shoots and Ladders of which Jon appeared on stage with his bagpipe. It was not only the bagpipe, he was wearing a kilt throughout the performance. One thing which was lacking is the mic-stand, heck! He did not bring over his custom mic-stand!

The energy was all in there and despite being older than before, Jonathan Davis managed to make all the songs sound like how it should sound like. He even got to the gibberish yak in Freak on a Leash.

To top things off, KoRn came back on stage after a really fake, ‘See you later‘-styled encore and started with Blind. With just the cymbals sounding, the crowd could immediatelly recognise that is was Blind and when the song went into full throttle, the moshing was at its hardest.

They managed to play around 12 songs, lasting for almost 90 minutes. Good one KoRn. And everyone was satisified. Even though it took 15 motherfucking years for them to come over..

Too far for a 50mm, even on APS-C. Was using Sigma 70-200. Mostly around the 150-200mm range. Lighting was good enough for 1/125 f4 ISO400
