Hey hey!

To celebrate the launching of their second album titled Teenage Disc Fantastic, Couple held an album launch party at Dewan MCPA on the 27th of December 2008. They were also giving out their albums for free to the first few hundred attendees. You can get their album now for RM20 at Rock Corner and other good music retail outlets.

After a short sound check, The Hollows came out and performed as the first band.

They were then followed by The Peanuts, who are under Gizmo Records currently.

After The Peanuts, The Dearly Missed came onstage. Heck, all first 3 band names are starting with ‘The’. Anyways, the moshing was starting to get real heavy and I had to move up ON stage to avoid from my knees getting capped by the edge of the stage (I was at the front row).

Moving on top of stage proved to be fruitly as Bunkface was next. Those chaps were late, so there was a short rest while waiting for the band to arrive. They did not dissappoint as there was a huge following in the crowd, and they also played their new song, Revolusi (dang, I thought I heard Generasi. On an unrelated note about Generasi, Seven Collar T-shirt’s new song is called My Generation).

Earlier, someone in the crowd told me that The Times were also playing today but I wasn’t so sure about it as they wasn’t listed in the band list. Anyhow, after Bunkface, The Times made their way to the stage and played! Heck, what a nice treat!

By the time that The Times were at their last song, the stage was filled with random people coming up and snapping photos with Naza and also their guitarist. This ensued for a while until the stage crew finally came in and kicked those dudes off the stage. Ha!

Finally, it was time for Couple to come on stage.

They played all of the songs from their first album, Top Of The Pop before letting Yuna take over.

Yuna came on stage with her golden trimmed, white guitar. She had a huge following as well.

No, the show did not end just yet. Couple came on stage again, now to play songs from the new album, and yes, all the songs on the new album. Much to their surprise, the crowd knew the lyrics to most of the songs. Aidil (the vocalist) was happy nevertheless.

By the end of their set, Aidil was already crowd surfing and after all the craziness, there was an autograph session. Aidil sat on stage armed with a brand new silver marker and started signing. We had to walk all around the stage to get signatures from the other band members though.

The gig ended at about 6pm and it was still bright outside (yes it was really dark inside with just a few spotlights for the lighting).
