Mid Valley Megamall Car Park Zoning

Mid Valley Megamall’s basement car parks is now divided into 3 zones : Zone A (Mid Valley Megamall), Zone B (The Gardens Mall) and Zone C (Mid Valley Megamall). Cars will not be able to cross between the zones while pedestrian traffic will be maintained with designated pedestrian walkways.

Effective 1 July 2008, the basement car parks of the Mid Valley Megamall will be separated. Cars will not be able to cross between Zone A & C. (Click on picture to enlarge)

Mid Valley Megamall is the shopping mall that Kenchill and me often hang out at, go to the gym, the cinema, the toy shops, etc. Recently (a few months ago), the car park was going through a lot of changes and construction. Sometimes we could see a “Sehala” signboard pointing at the wrong direction which might lead cars into each other. Yesterday, when we entered the Mid Valley car park using the Zone B & C entrance (right side in the map), we couldn’t turn into level P2 of the Mid Valley car park. This is the second time we encountered this sudden change. Hence, we headed to the ticket payment counter to ask for more details.

We received a small flyer explaining the changes being made to the car park. The staff did not give us a direct answer as to why cars are not allowed to cross between the zones. It is causing a great inconvenience to drivers who are searching for empty parking bays in the same zone while the other zones have so many empty parking bays.

We now can’t go into the Mid Valley Megamall zone directly from Old Klang Road. We have to either drive around the ring road to enter Zone C or avoid rounding Mid Valley and just park at The Gardens and walk across to the Megamall!

By the way, both parking lots have the same payment rates.

I wonder if other people who often visit Mid Valley are facing the same issues as us?

The Car Park System in Mid Valley SUCKS due to the lacklustre, poor and irresponsible car park management, quick scheme money tactics.
The nestled car park information for offices are unclear. Parking at wrong place due to ignorant will be subjected to penalty of RM10 penalty without any form of notice at all. You just have to pay if not you cannot get out of the car park.

THis is tantatmount to easy money gimmick by the management by deliberate providing unclear nestled parking information.

Is truly frustrating parking in MidValley !
